”Whenimondamic” is track five on Lootpack’s debut album, "Soundpieces: Da Antidote".
Wildchild (aka Jack Brown) spits some bars about how his wild style defeats wack emcee’s over a classic Madlib beat.
Madlib takes samples from “Mister Mellow” by Maynard Ferguson, “Promise Not To Tell” by John Phillips, “Return of the Boom-Bap” by KRS-ONE, and “So Wat Cha Sayin” by EPMD.
When asked by Talib Kweli what he remembered about making this song, producer Madlib replied:
"I don’t really remember anything, I was… (mimes smoking) nah mean? But that was when I was still living in Oxnard, and we just recording tons of material, and that was just one of the ones that stuck out. We recorded, like, 300 songs, and that was just one that stood out. It was actually, like, some surf music, like a surf rock record… it was kinda catchy to me, so I threw the EPMD drums under that, some “Wat Cha Sayin'” type stuff. That’s one of the ones people remember from Lootpack."
