There are at least four artists with this name:
ChrisXX started Terminal State back in 1992 with Bin@ry Runner, he kept the band running for all the years being the creative mastermind and producer. Their first recording took place at AD Micro studio as first digital take. It was amazing experience, but only two songs were recorded - 'Cyberfaith' and 'Further to light'. Alot of time and money were spent, but result was not as expected. Afterwards, they started to prepare for first debut album and 'Unline Codes' was found later in 2000. After album was released, Bin@ry Runner left the band and brother of ChrisXX, Minor Float joined Terminal State, first for the live shows as keyboardist, later also helping with composing. Besides Terminal State, ChrisXX has ambient co project Apophysia and his own techno solo project THXM, while Minor Float has ebm co project Static Charge Disease and idm solo project The Opposer Divine.
Another great output from Toronto’s striving hardcore/punk scene. Terminal State play hardcore the old fashion way without butchering the simple formula that has define a sound that stands the test of time.
DJ's Fire and Snare have been spinning drum and bass/jungle since 1994 and have also be credited for bringing drum and bass to Jersey UK and creating a scene which has hosted all your favourite dnb artists from Grooverider, Hype, Pendulum, Chase & Status, Sub Focus, Goldie, Randall, Andy C to name a few. Their infamous Terminology & Elementz nights have hosted all these names in venues in Jersey, Guersney, England and Holland. During this time they thought the next step up would be production and decided to invest all their profits from their own nights into a studio, over the next few years they signed records to such labels as Formation, TOV, Renegade Recordings, New Identity, Abstract Inc. etc..to name a few. They also have had BBC Radio1 airtime along with other stations like 1xtra, KissFM, KoolLondon, Bassdrive and been supported by the worlds top Drum and Bass DJ's. With their combine 35+ years in the game they have decided to launch their own label alongside young up and coming DJ Zerozero who has now joined Terminal State the label is called Vanguard Audio which also has its own clubnight running every month. VA001 was released 14th Nov 2011 from all good online music stores, the EP is titled 'The Germ EP' from Terminal State featuring tracks Mutant, Wasteland, Blood money and Tunnel Vision, it has received excellent DJ and radio support. Watch out for VA002 coming Feb 2012 and forthcoming releases on Future Thinkin, Soul Deep Recordings and Criminal Records. 2012 looks to be the biggest year yet for Terminal State.
