Biography
Since the fall of 2010, the Big Friendly Giant (SVK) has roamed restlessly through cinematic soundscapes; from soothing drones to soaring heights.
SVK hints at both 70's rock and modern noise-music. The four members, Claus Sohn Andersen (guitar and vocals), Amund Ulvestad (synths and cello), Håkon Nybø (bass) and Kristian Mäkinen (drums) aim to create an expression that's both progressive and grounded. The music blends characteristics of rock, improvisation, ambient, jazz and experimental music with SVKs own characteristics and expressions.
SVK are based in Trondheim, Norway, where they have played several shows.
